This week! and this summer!
Quick CSME updates and reminders
Math & Science teaching community,
While we just sent out a monthly newsletter last week, I wanted to take a moment to really boost our public celebration and lecture happening this week. I just saw a draft of Andy’s slides for this and I truly think this will be worth your time.
I really hope to see you there and I hope you’ll bring friends and colleagues.
Summer courses!
Also, as promised earlier, the registration for our summer science education courses is now fully operational. Here’s a list of specific courses for our secondary endorsement offerings:
Science Teaching Methods (offered in Cache County)
June 8-12Foundations of Science Education a.k.a. the “3D” course (Ogden Campus)
June 22-26Chemistry Principles & Pedagogies II (Ogden Campus)
July 6-17
These all meet endorsement requirements in science and are supported by the state’s STEM-EIP grant, so your tuition is covered if you complete the course with a passing grade.
In addition, we may still have a few openings for the new Elementary Science Endorsement cohort that is starting this summer. I’ll be spreading the word to a few schools I think are underrepresented, but I’m happy to get direct inquiries as well.
Share
Please share this around, especially to those who you’d like to join you on Thursday. And if you got this forwarded to you from someone else (or if you just want to help someone subscribe), here’s a handy button to do just that:
Thanks!
Adam
